When the boating season finally comes to an end, you can trust Schooner Island Marina to care for your craft through the winter. Our winter services capabilities provide the repair and winterizing expertise necessary keep you boat in top condition, and our winter storage service assures the safety and security of your vessel.

Winter Service and Storage Policies
Because we care about our customers and their boats, we ask that you be aware of the following policies regarding our winter service and storage services.

Dry Storage
Our dry storage area is located on the island with video cameras and gated access for optimum security. Because we have limited land space available, we ask that you return your signed storage contract and deposit to us by September 30th to reserve your space.

In-Water Storage
In-water winter storage is available only for fiber glass boats over 30 ft. with in-board engines. All in-water storage boats must be fully winterized by the customer unless arrangements have been made with the Schooner Island marina Service Department.

Service Policies
Winterizing and repair work done below the waterline must be completed by the Schooner Island Service Department. This includes removing and reinstalling props, replacing cutlass bearings, bottom and out drive painting, replacing zincs, power washing, and soda blasting. The Schooner Island Service Department will perform all raw water winterizations at the time of haul out. This service is included in the winter storage rate.

Winter Service and Storage Contract
For a copy of the Winter Service and Storage Contract click here. Please print out and submit to our Service Manager. Remember to check off all services required and the date you would like to be hauled out and stored. We also require an estimated launch date for next year. This will enable us to store boats in the proper order for easy accessibility.

This year, we are offering all storage customers a Free Prop Scan from Atlantis Propeller. See your winter storage contract for more information.

In addition, all winter storage customers will receive a half price haul out from June 2007 through September 2007.
